After two visits to this frozen land, staying in the most northernly capital city Reykjavik I felt it was time to share some of the work I have created. Whilst not meant to be seismic (pardon the pun) in its delivery compared to the vast number of HDR digital works which can be found when searching for examples on Google, Flickr et al, it is a more reserved celebration of the country's short but impressive history and I felt best suited shot on film medium. The beauty of black and white film emulsion often best represents the pure face of Iceland, with its elemental might and metrological temper which it weilds impressively and with often changing frequency.
If you wish to see more of Iceland you will be able to find many high definition drone videos and well produced blogs just by searching Youtube. If you wish to see the country represented more faithfully I can recommend the more 'Bokeh' which although difficult to interpret, strange and ultimately (storyline wise) disappointing contains some magnificent cinematography and demonstrates well the pure scale and beauty of the island.
